AI in teaching and learning training programs

The AI in teaching and learning training programs includes training sessions on AI integration in education.

This series of workshops and training on AI applications in education for teachers, lecturers, and education administrators nationwide is one of the main activities of the Vietnam National Forum on Education Innovation with AI.

Training format

Postgraduate group in class room

Offline training

Two full-day weekend sessions will be organized by region (North, Central, South) in collaboration with local Departments of Education and Training (DOETs).

Participant recruitment for offline training will also be coordinated through the respective DOETs.

Online experience

Online training

A national program featuring five weekly online workshops held on Saturdays.

Participants who complete the training and required assessments will receive a Certificate of Participation from RMIT Vietnam.

Tentative training topics

  • Overview of AI and Generative AI (GenAI): capabilities, limitations and educational applications.
  • Effective prompt engineering for accurate and relevant AI responses.
  • Strategies for integrating AI into subject-specific teaching activities.
  • Introduction to UNESCO’s AI Competency Framework for teachers and students.

  • How to apply TPACK (Technology, Pedagogy, and Content Knowledge) and SAMR (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, Redefinition) models
  • Provide practical examples of AI-enhanced teaching at different educational levels.

  • How to use AI to create quizzes, assignments and assessment tasks.
  • Best practices for accuracy, fairness, and effectiveness in AI-assisted assessments.

  • Exploring AI tools for student-generated content (e.g., comics, videos).
  • Encouraging creativity and digital skills development through AI applications.

  • Designing AI chatbots to support students with study materials, exercises, and concept explanations.
  • Enhancing personalized learning and student engagement with AI assistants.

  • Best practices for ethical AI implementation in classrooms and educational leadership.
  • Ensuring transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in AI-driven learning environments.
