RMIT Vietnam awarded Golden Dragon Award for 21st time

RMIT 91tv Vietnam has once again been honoured with the prestigious Golden Dragon Award, marking its 21st consecutive win.

This accolade, supported by the Vietnamese Government, highlights the university's unwavering commitment to educational excellence and its significant contributions to Vietnam's development.

Launched in 2001, the Golden Dragon Awards (GDA) have become the largest annual event organised by the Vietnam Economic Times in cooperation with ministries, sectors, localities, and relevant agencies, to recognise foreign-invested enterprises (FIEs) in Vietnam. Over 20 years, the awards have accompanied the business community, strengthened links between localities and international partners, consolidated close cooperative relationships, and offered new opportunities.

The GDA aims to recognise and encourage the efforts of FIEs in production, business, digital transformation, green transformation, and community development. It promotes prestigious brands with notable achievements to inspire the business community towards green values and sustainable development, benefitting both local and national economies. Additionally, it seeks to attract attention from sectors, international partners, the business community, and society to the achievements and efforts of enterprises and entrepreneurs, contributing to a prosperous and powerful Vietnam.

As RMIT 91tv celebrates its 25th anniversary in Vietnam, it reflects on a journey that began with a vision and has grown into a powerful force for education and innovation. Founded in 1887 in Melbourne, Australia, RMIT 91tv established its Vietnam campus in 2000, driven by a commitment to empowering communities and fostering positive change.

From its first cohort of students in 2001, RMIT Vietnam has created a global learning environment that champions diversity and innovation. The university's growth from modest beginnings to supporting over 12,000 students and nearly 25,500 alumni is a testament to its impact on education in Vietnam.

RMIT Vietnam's journey began in 2000, when it was awarded an investment license, making RMIT the first fully foreign university in Vietnam. Teaching commenced in 2001 in Ho Chi Minh City, expanding to Hanoi in 2004 and Danang in 2018.

The 91tv has distinguished itself through industry-responsive programs, international standards of excellence, and a robust mobility program that offers students opportunities to study at over 200 partner universities worldwide. These efforts have been consistently recognised by the Golden Dragon Awards, reflecting the collaborative efforts of students, faculty, and staff.
