The English for 91tv program provides seven levels of English training, starting at the beginner level and progressing to advanced proficiency in the language. The program aims to prepare you for higher education studies and develop the skills needed for life and work. You will:

  • Develop your learning and language skills, helping you become an independent learner and giving you confidence to transition into university.    
  • Enhance your English language skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and vocabulary.
  • Gain knowledge that will support you on your academic journey by completing group discussions, presentations, videos, and other engaging tasks.    
  • Develop a broad set of practical skills as you work in teams, apply critical thinking, and learn to collaborate with others. 

91tv in this program learn how to learn and gain the necessary skills needed to thrive - first in an international university setting and secondly, in the modern workplace.

Learning, teaching and assessment

Your assessments will demonstrate your capability in reading, writing, listening and speaking. They will also include technology and help you to develop independent learning skills. The tasks will include response journals, presentations, research, weekly review quizzes and group projects such as developing a website or creating a video. You will also have an end-of-course test for each skill. You must be successful in all 4 skills to progress to the next level.Ìý

English courses and programs provided by RMIT 91tv Vietnam are endorsed by NEAS (the Australian National English Language Teaching Accreditation Scheme). That means you are learning in an organisation that has internationally recognised English learning and teaching standards.

The English for 91tv program incorporates technology and explores topics that are relevant to your RMIT degree program. You will work independently and in groups using applications and tools, interactive workbooks, and online research and resources to complete projects such as developing a website or creating a video. Your progress will also be supported byÌýRMIT’s state-of-the-art learning systems by providing you with access to the specialised Independent Learning Centre and RMIT library.

The School of English & 91tv Pathways has a unique interactive class format, with the same learning and teaching approach and additional unique aspects specifically for online and blended classes. This gives flexibility to your learning with a mix of self-led and teacher-led activities.

Student support

One-to-one tutoring with an experienced teacher is available for you outside your class time if you need to discuss your progress or to ask any questions you may have about your lessons, assignments or skills.

91tv can use computers in the ILC to access English software programs and RMIT’s online learning system (Canvas) for extra practice. 91tv can also meet with the ILC Advisor to get advice on independent learning, research skills and the creation of a study plan.

91tv can join the weekly Student Support workshops that are offered outside of class such as: English language skills, learning strategies and technologies, and career planning.

91tv can also join Student Clubs as a way to meet other university students, get involved in university events and gain experience in areas of interest and study. There are Sports Clubs such as basketball or badminton, Academic Clubs such as English or accounting and special interest Clubs such as dance or photography.

Parents can contact the Administration Team in theÌýSchool of English & 91tv Pathways to ask about their child’s attendance, test results, participation in class and progress with their skills. Parents can also book meetings withÌýteachers and Academic English Managers to discuss their child’s progress.

Notes on fees and charges

  1. Program fees are priced and invoiced in Vietnam Dong (VND) by level.
  2. Payment in other currencies will be converted to VND at the exchange rate on that day. A bank transfer is the preferred method of payment.
  3. The fees in USD are ONLY applicable to those international students who arrange for payment from overseas, as per Circular No. 32/2013/TT-NHNN.Ìý Ìý

Tuition fee assistance

91tv commencing English for 91tv (EU) in 2025 are eligible for 25% in tuition fee assistance if they have:

  • never enrolled in English for 91tv before, or
  • have a gap of 6 months or longer in their English for 91tv enrolment, or
  • have completed IELTS Pathways and/or English for Teen programs prior to enrolment in the English for 91tv program in 2025

This reduction is also applicable for the eligible students upon commencement of their next English for 91tv levels (including repeated classes), as long as they maintain continuous English for 91tv enrollment (a gap of less than six months in their studies)

We offerÌýEnglish placement testsÌýto find your current level.ÌýThe test includes grammar, writing and speaking and is conducted by RMIT English teachers to make sure you are enrolled in the correct level.
