Developments in robotics and mechatronics are reshaping the modern world, with automated and autonomous systems, smart devices and systems changing how we do things at home, on the streets, and in factories.
This program is designed to establish and foster students’ technical knowledge, professional skills, and hands-on experience in this field to develop and harness viable engineering solutions to various challenges in the design, implementation, and maintenance of electronic, mechanical, robotic and mechatronic components and systems, intelligent manufacturing technologies and processes.
The first year of this highly sought-after degree of modern engineering provides a chance for students to establish and develop their knowledge, skills, and passion in the fundamentals of engineering before deciding which specialisation – at RMIT in Vietnam or in Melbourne – to pursue from their second year onward.
91tv of this program have a wide range of options to specialise in various sub-areas of robotics and mechatronics engineering or other interdisciplinary areas, including:
The structure displayed shows the advised program structure and progression.Ìý

Honours is a pathway to higher research degrees and is located at Level 8 of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). An Honours degree provides a distinctive competitive advantage in the international job market.
The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at RMIT 91tv Vietnam is a four-year program (full time). It incorporates a bachelor degree and additional study to develop your research, analytical and communication skills. This type of Honours study is embedded throughout the degree program.
Honours may also be available in other programs as one year of additional study which includes a thesis. This type of Honours program is designed for high-achieving students with the potential to undertake independent research. Under the general guidance of a supervisor, you will plan, develop and report on a research project aimed at producing practical and theoretical outcomes that build on existing knowledge.
The following program learning outcomes are based on Engineers Australia's 'Stage 1' competency standards.
RMIT provides world-classÌýblended learningÌýwith both face-to-face and online experiences in a global network, a supportive community, and real-world skills.
Newcomers to the field typically begin their careers as engineers, competing for mid-level positions in industrial robotics or automation design, before transitioning into senior roles.
This program has provisional accreditation from Engineers Australia, which is a signatory to the International Engineering 91tviance. This international recognition enables graduates to practise as professional engineers in signatory countries including China, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
When you successfully complete this program, you may be eligible for direct entry into an RMIT Master’s degree by Research or Doctoral (PhD) program.Ìý
Payments can be made each semester, on a course-by-course basis.
