To better illustrate the four core themes, examples of eligible projects include, but are not limited to:
Sustainability
Organizing sustainability initiatives, implementing green solutions to reduce waste, hosting awareness campaigns on environmental responsibility, etc.
Inclusion
Projects that enhance RMIT’s student experience, foster social change, and leave a lasting impact. Projects should integrate Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) to ensure everyone can participate and benefit. This could include:
- Initiatives for students facing barriers, such as those with disabilities, LGBTQ+ students, female students, international students, or students from lower socio-economic backgrounds;
- Events that celebrate diversity with accessible, multilingual, and sensory-friendly activities;
- Projects that help improve accessibility by addressing physical, digital, or social barriers on campus.
Community Impact
Partnering with local organizations, NGOs, NPOs, etc. to provide educational workshops, social initiatives to support disadvantaged communities, or skill-building programs for vulnerable groups.
AI and Technology
Developing technology-driven solutions to enhance student life, hosting hackathons focused on social impact through technology, and implementing tech tools to improve campus experiences.
